A new website for an established brand

First got Naked 2021

A solid reputation, but less than solid website

Established in 1985, CGM Group have been providing domestic and commercial, outdoor and environmental services to businesses, homes, schools, and hospitals across Norfolk and East Anglia for over 35 years. Building up a solid reputation in areas such as grounds maintenance, arboriculture, and landscape construction, they have many happy customers and it’s not hard to see why.

So, what was the problem?

CGM’s website wasn’t doing much for them. With a dated design and an unclear user journey, the website was not driving many leads and it did not reflect the modern and professional company that they are today.

It was time for Naked to step in...

CGM At a glance

Never too far away from a ‘Request A Free Quote’ button

With clear goals having been set out at the beginning we were able to focus our efforts on how the design and user journey should be structured in order to achieve them.

Customers love free stuff. So, to generate more customer enquiries, the main call-to-action on the website was to be ‘Request A Free Quote’. As well as encouraging users to interact with the website, this was a no-brainer way for CGM to receive more leads. We therefore ensured that the design was centred around making sure that customers were never too far away from a ‘Request A Free Quote’ button.

CGM needed a new website that:

  • Generates more customer enquiries
  • Portrays a modern and professional feel whilst still maintaining friendliness
  • Drives recruitment for operatives and apprentices
  • Improves the customer experience

Branding

First and foremost, CGM required a new brand identity that would form the basis for the design of their improved digital presence.

Website Design

The two customer-centric goals to achieve with the website design were to create a better customer experience and increase leads.

We achieved this by creating an attractive, professional, and modern website design that provides a clear path for the user. The intended journey was for them to land on the website and - no matter where they first land - be able to find the service that they would like help with and then be able to get in contact or request a free quote.

There was also the CGM team to consider. The website needed to be as easy as possible for them to update and add new pages and we therefore took a template-led approach with the design.

We identified several templates that could be reused to make it quick and easy for the CGM team to update in the future... they are a busy bunch after all!

On-Site Training Session

With a shiny new website comes learning. We took a trip to CGM HQ where the team were ready and waiting to learn how to use and update the website.

This session involved a demonstration of all the templates available and how each section of the templates could be edited.

We then moved on to questions, after which the session became more interactive, and the team were encouraged to make some small edits themselves.

The CGM team were impressed at the editingcapabilities of the website and were excited to get stuck in post-launch.

Aftercare & Support

Post-launch, the Naked team were keen to ensure that CGM had everything they needed and so were on hand for any questions that CGM had about editing the website.
