Norfolk Stairlifts is an independent, family-run business based in Hingham, Norfolk. Since 1998, they’ve helped thousands of customers across Norfolk and Suffolk find the right stairlift for their home – whether new, reconditioned or rental – all backed by friendly, no-pressure advice and great aftercare.

The challenge
Norfolk Stairlifts had noticed that more and more competitors were starting to advertise online. Because of this, they needed to spend extra money on Google Ads just to make sure their business was visible when people searched for stairlifts.

The cost of these adverts kept rising, almost doubling each month, but they didn’t have tracking in place to see how many leads they were generating. Without this, they had no way of knowing which adverts were bringing in real customers and which were wasting money. This needed to change, and fast.


Making sense of the numbers
The first thing we did was set up proper tracking on their website and in Google Ads so we could see exactly what was driving genuine enquiries. This meant we could finally understand which adverts were actually bringing in real customers.

Once we had a clear view of the results, we set up new adverts with the aim of making Norfolk Stairlifts’ money work harder. We focused on showing ads to people already searching for things like “stairlift fitting near me” or “buy a stairlift.” By doing this, we were able to spend less but get more real enquiries.

The new ads achieved a 40% lower monthly spend while increasing enquiries from an average of 208 to 306 a month. That’s almost a 50% increase. It meant for every pound they spent, they got more than double the results compared to before.

A clever local twist
To support the online adverts, we sent postcards to nearby homes whenever a stairlift installation was taking place. They were timed to arrive while the team was working, so neighbours saw the job being done and received information about the service at the same moment. This simple approach boosted local awareness, built trust, and brought in a steady flow of extra enquiries.
The outcome
By mixing smart online adverts with simple, local direct mail marketing, Norfolk Stairlifts can now clearly see what’s working and what isn’t. No more guessing.

It shows that you don’t always need a huge advertising budget, you just need to spend wisely, track results properly, understand what’s working, and speak directly to the people most likely to need your help. Norfolk Stairlifts are now getting more customers while spending less, and their name is becoming even better known in Norfolk and Suffolk.
