Redefining the voice of Norfolk business
The Norfolk Chambers of Commerce is a not-for-profit member network of Norfolk-based businesses. Members are made up of every size and sector of business, from start-ups to large corporates, and from retail and professional services to manufacturing & engineering. The network exists to enable local companies to do better business.
With a refocused vision and set of values, the network needed a ‘facelift’ to communicate a new sense of purpose and energise its member network.
In order to help establish a strong voice for the Chamber, it was important to create a unique and impactful visual identity. We created a colourful theme, expanding the previous colour palette using ‘Co.’ to represent ‘Company’ and also, rather neatly, ‘Chambers of’. This began with the word ‘Co.mmerce’ and expanded across a host of words connected with the world of business.
One of the key deliverables for the branding project, was the creation of a detailed brand guidelines document, giving the Chamber the flexibility to produce communications internally whilst retaining the integrity of the new brand. The guidelines included overall brand vision and values, visual design and tone of voice.
"The brand guidelines have really helped internally. The work helped us on our journey to define who we are now"
The concept came to life as more words were developed for application across a range of marketing materials, including button badges for members, mugs and detailed brand guidelines for tone of voice and use of the new identity. Feedback we've had from the relaunched branding has been overwhelmingly positive and we're proud to have given the Norfolk Chambers of Commerce brand a new lease of life.
Not only were the results exceptional, but it was clear that the brief had been accurately interpreted
