"Having relocated back to Norwich to have my son, I soon realised that finding work as an unemployed mum would be challenging. With next to no job opportunities for part-time professionals and an ever-increasing ‘unemployed’ status, I decided to take things into my own hands.
I’ve always loved art - both producing it and buying it (much to my husband's dismay) and, during our second home renovation, spent way too much time and money decking our walls with pieces. I’d look at the designs and think, ‘maybe this is something I could do too’. It was then that I started to take on commissions for friends and family and dip my toe into this world.
The rest, as they say, is history! I decided to focus on feminism because it was really what drove me to start - the inequality between men and women in work, and the impact having a family has on a woman's career. So here we are, creating high quality, affordable art that talks directly to women."
